Nick has 16+ years of experience in drug development across Commercial and R&D in the pharmaceutical industry where he has used his expertise to help companies develop asset level and portfolio level strategies, evaluate business opportunities, and plan for loss of exclusivity.  He has held positions in commercial and R&D strategy, global marketing, and project management.

Early Commercialization

Developed initial indication & early commercialization strategies for multiple CNS and nephrology assets. Assessed competitive environment, payer landscape and unmet needs within the indications of interest. Evaluated those against the asset’s mechanism of action and the target reimbursable product profile. Created business cases which led to investment rationale for various scenarios and recommendations according to fit across the company portfolio. Collaborated with R&D to then design clinical trials with endpoints that would maximize commercial succuss.

Life-Cycle Management

Developed life cycle management and loss of exclusivity strategies for multiple CNS and nephrology assets. Evaluated an authorized generic business for a company’s portfolio, assessing the generic development landscape, competitor loss of exclusivity intelligence and modeling out various analogue erosion curves. Authored a life cycle management playbook that evaluated indications, drub combinations, delivery devices, new formulation and digital technology along with the potential impact on intellectual property.

Project Management

Global project management expertise for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, commercial project and enterprise initiatives. Most notably, prepared 5 regional affiliates for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Created content for and led both strategic and tactical hybrid workshops with all regions to develop a singular global strategy and execution plan for the company. Managed project timelines, budget and scope within pre-specified parameters, delivering a successful rollout of the strategy upon go-live.

Global Marketing

Global brand lead for a CNS asset with a novel mechanism of action. Created a unique positioning in a crowded, genericized schizophrenia market. Developed both branded and unbranded creative campaigns, brand names, logos, color palette and personality. Identified key HCP and patient segments for regions to target along with a comprehensive brand book to execute upon.
